Publication in Advanced Optical Materials

Our latest research publication, “Enhancing the Efficiency of Polariton OLEDs in and Beyond the Single-Excitation Subspace,” has just been published in “Advanced Optical Materials“. In this work, we studied triplet harvesting in OLEDs under strong light-matter coupling. We developed a theoretical model and carefully scanned the parameter space of enhanced reverse inter-system crossing and triplet-triplet annihilation. The good news is both can be enhanced… The catch: … only with a few coupled molecules, motivating the development of picocavity OLEDs or other structures supporting few-molecule strong coupling. On the other hand, our theory also predicts the dilution of the harmful singlet-singlet annihilation with many molecules.
